David Klinger

David has more than 30 years of experience in financial markets. He worked as a fund manager at McIntosh Asset Management and then ran the dealing room at Westpac Investment Management before moving to the sell side. David is the CEO and Co-Founder of Block Event, a specialist Asian Block Trading venue. David's previous roles include Managing Director and founder of Liquidnet Asia, Head of APAC Execution for Macquarie Bank and Credit Suisse where he helped introduce DMA and the AES suite of algorithmic trading products to Asian markets. David has advised a number of large buy side trading desks on their trading process, has served as a Board Member of the Capital Markets Cooperative Research Centre and in 2008 was awarded the inaugural Trade Tech ‘Outstanding Individual Contribution to Electronic Trading’ award.
